Is it really autumn yet if you don't have a cliche walking in the leaves OOTD? No. I don't think so! This outfit is from when I went to visit my blogging chums in Glasgow. If you've ever tried to get some one to take OOTD photos for you then you'll know what I mean when I say that it's actually quite difficult. But getting other bloggers to take your OOTD shots generally works out quite well as they have an idea of what they're supposed to look like. So I couldn't resist getting some snaps whilst we were out and about. These photos were taken in George Square which is a really famous part of Glasgow. It looked absolutely beautiful with all the leaves. Even though we all agreed we hate the word 'autumnal', we couldn't stop describing everything as 'autumnal'. It was actually really busy so at first taking the photos was a little awkward. But with friends anything awkward becomes a good laugh. We ended up rolling around in the leaves. Looking back on it that was potentially more embarrassing than the photos.
I feel like I haven't really properly updated my blog in a long time. I blogged daily over the summer and then returned to once every two days at the start of the semester. But the reality of that is that that is still too often. I'm trying to find the balance between uni, work, socialising and blogging but to be honest I just don't know where it stands for me at the moment. Obviously I love my blog but the last thing I want to do is look back on the year and think 'damn I wish I'd worked harder for that test/saw my friends that night rather than writing that blog post'. At the moment I'm going to try and leave two days between each blog post. Although it may be even more sporadic than that. My apologies! Making an exception for a few posts though. I've also not been feeling well recently. After my break up I decided to come off the pill(this is probably TMI but yolo) and since then my periods/hormones have been all over the place and its just making me feel really run down and crap. Which you know, isn't making me feel motivated in the slightest. And it's also making me feel really grumpy and I keep snipping at people without meaning to. I've actually finally gotten around to booking a doctor's appointment so hopefully they'll be able to help me sort it out.
But apart from that. Lots of good things are going on in my life! We're back in the full swing of the semester and I'm really really busy with it. I'm doing like three lab reports a week at the moment but thankfully finding the labs a lot better than in first year. Which is good seeing as I have 12 hours a week. Outside university I've also got a lot of great things going on. I've been attending the knit soc meetings every week and really enjoying my time there. And I'm completely welcome as a crocheter. They've got a meeting coming up soon and I'm thinking about running for a position on the society. I think it's next week so we'll see! I've also been going out for drinks considerably more and actually really enjoying it. I always thought I didn't like clubbing but I'm coming to discover that it really depends on who you go with! I seem to be getting into the typical student lifestyle. If a little bit late. We've actually introduced academic families to chemistry this year and we're having dinner for the first time. I'm really looking forward to it! I'm in charge of dessert.
So that's what I've been up to lately! How is October treating all of you?
