Dungarees - Internationale // Jumper - Isle of Arran // Boots - New Look // Necklace - Sister Vintage // Bag - Accessorize
I've always been aware that I'm really pale. But I don't think I realised just how pale I actually am until I saw these photos! Bloody hell. I think I finally understand the term, milk bottle legs! That being said, I still have no intentions of tanning at all so you'll just have to don your sunglasses to look at these photos without getting blinded. It's been a while since I wore these dungarees and I absolutely love them. They make me feel like a five year old and super fashionable at the same time. A super fashionable five year old. Actually with all the celebrities having children at the moment there probably are five year olds more fashionable than I am. My jumper is actualy an Isle of Arran jumper which I bought on my trip there in April. You just can't tell because the dungarees are obscuring the writing. I don't really have anything in this teal colour but I think it really suits me so I love it. This outfit isn't overly polished but it's fun and I think it reflects my dorky personality.
So what's been going on in my life. You may have seen on Twitter that my gran hasn't been very well unfortunately. She had a double valve replacement on the 20th of July and was let home from the hospital last Monday. She was very tired but generally seemed to be doing ok until she had a fall on Thursday night. She was trying to get out of bed and slipped. We phoned NHS 24 and they dispatched an ambulance who said she was ok. But I think me and my mum both knew they she really wasn't and was lying about how she was feeling because she didn't want to go back into hospital. She wouldn't sleep all night and was very restless and agitated. My mum phoned for an ambulance in the early morning and she got taken into hospital. Her sodium levels turned out to be really low which is what was making her ill. She's still in hospital at the moment as it's not a quick fix but at least we know it's the right place for her. Sorry for going on this big massive spiel but it feels good to get it all out and a lot of people have been asking for her on Twitter. I really appreciate all the supportive comments, my gran is actually a big fan of my blog(after I took her to a blogging event at Wagamama of course) so I'm sure she'd be delighted to know that people are wishing her well.
Again, I don't really have much planned for this week. I'm scheduling this post on Sunday morning before I go to #scotblogmeet so by the time this post has gone up I will have already been. It's a meet up for Scottish bloggers organised by Charlotte and the event is raising money for the Scottish Association for Mental Health. I'm really looking forward to going as I'm sure it will be a lot of fun. Plus I'm raffling off one of my elephants and I can't wait to see who wins it. For the rest of the week I'm going to try and focus on reading as the #booketubeathon is runninng and I have massive pile of books to be read! Last year I was an absolute machine when it came to reading and I was reading like 15+ books a month. This year I seem to be seriously lacking the motivation to pick up a book and am favouring going for a nap instead!
What are your plans for the week?
