I have to say that I find baths to be a bit over rated. I do enjoy a bath every now and then but generally I find that baths are never as good as I expect them to be. Plus I never actually feel that clean after a bath. In fact, after having a bath I always feel like I want to go for a shower! Sometimes after a long day I just want to go for shower and not a bath. I do have some products that I love to use in the shower for a little pamper. I don't use things like scrubs and hair masks every time I go for a shower so they feel like a little extra treat when I do use them. I thought it would be fun to do a blog post like this to show all the products that I use in the shower when I'm in need of a little pamper. I think most people associate baths with pamper nights but that doesn't need to be the case!
If my hair is feeling extra dry or frizzy then I will use the Lee Stafford Gets Rid Of Frizz Treatment to help give my hair a little bit of a boost. This is a pretty unique hair treatment because it's designed to be used between shampooing and conditioning. All the other hair masks I've tried are meant to be used instead of conditioner! I thought that this would make my hair feel really greasy but it doesn't actually feel really greasy at all. I feel like my hair feels so much glossier and smooth after I use this baby. I'm onto my second tub of it now and I would definitely recommend it. Lee Stafford products can be a bit pricey but I managed to get these on a two for £10 offer at Boots and they often have buy two get one free offers on all hair care as well. I have a full review of this on my blog and if you'd like to read it you can do so here.
Normally whilst leaving my conditioner in I'll opt to wash my body, face and do any shaving that needs done. Ahh the glamorous life. At the moment I've been using the Radox Feel Pampered Shower Gel* which smells like shea butter and ginger. It's really creamy and lathers up very well. Like I said with shampoos, I always find that clear shower gels are really drying and strip my skin of all its moisture. So I like to go for a thicker, opaque shower gel that's much more moisturising. The scent of this is really nice. As I said it contains shea butter and ginger but judging by the bottle there's also a hint of coconut in there too!
I'm never sure if you're supposed to use body scrubs before or after shower gel. At the moment I'm going with after shower gel. My logic is that you clean all your skin and then exfoliate to get rid of dead skin cells? Don't trust me, I'm no beauty expert. At the moment I'm using the Soap & Glory Scrub Of Your Life which is a mini that I got in a gift set. Soap & Glory body scrubs are my absolute favourite as they always smell absolutely amazing but unlike other scrubs they are actually exfoliating enough! I've tried ones from Lush and The Body Shop but never found that they were gritty enough to actually make a difference! This one has that typical Soap & Glory scent that you just can't help love. Although my all time favourite has to be The Breakfast Scrub, you can read a full review of that here.
And lastly I'll finish off by washing my face. I never used to wash my face in the shower but it is actually such a time saver! At the moment I'm loving the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser. I reviewed this on my blog yesterday and you can read that review here. This is a gorgeous cleanser as it is really creamy and moisturising. It has quite a nice herbal scent as well that I find very smoothing and relaxing. I'll keep a muslin cloth in the shower as well which is so handy to use along side the cleanser. I've never tried the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish but considering this one is so much cheaper and does a fab job I have no intentions on splashing the cash for it! I have tried the No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser which is a little bit more expensive than this and I would still say its just as good as that one.
