Orla Kiely Orange Rind Candle

To celebrate five years of home fragrance, Orla Kiely is relaunching her collection. Six amazing prints and 3 new scents. The three existing scents were fig tree, early grey and basil and mint. I've already reviewed a reed diffuser gift set that included these scents. You can see that blog post here. The new scents are orange rind, Sicilian lemon and lavender. Today I'm reviewing the orange rind candle* which smells absolutely beautiful.

The orange scent is also combined with sandalwood which is such a 'homey' scent. The candle is so warm and inviting. My great grandmother used to wear a sandalwood perfume so something about this candle just feels so nostalgic. This is something that would be perfect to burn on a summer night after a barbecue or something. The candle has 200g of wax with a burn time of 50 hours. The scent is very strong whilst burning and easily fills the home room. At £25 they are a little bit expensive, even more so than Yankee Candle, but with something like this you are paying for the design as well as the product. I mean, have you seen those Orla Kiely coffee jars everyone is going crazy about? I think these candles are really nice. They come in a box as well so would be perfect to wrap up and give as a gift.

The candles are available from John Lewis, House of Fraser, some independent stores and online at Orla Kiely's website.
