Hello everyone! I was recently invited to an event hosted by Hillarys and Joe Blogs called the Crafternoon. As amazing as the event sounded I was just really busy with uni and couldn't make it! They took over 4 cities on their roadshow. But Joe Blogs were nice enough to send me some stuff so that I could replicate the event at home, how kind! The kit included some Hillarys fabrics, instructions, a sewing kit and some goodies. The instructions were for a little fabric bird and a notepad cover. I decided to try out the notepad cover but I made it to fit a book instead. My friend Sarah bought me an awesome book cover for Christmas and its so handy for keeping my books in good conditon, I often end up with bent covers after things get thrown around in my bag. My hand sewing skills aren't the best but I'm really happy with how mine turned out!
I'm a big fan of the fabric. It reminds me of the old blue and white china, my grandparents had a ton of that. I think it would also make a lovely pair of curtains in a very clean, white, minamilistic room. Curtains were never really my thing but after moving into a student flat with ugly curtains I can't change I can see what the fuss is all about! The range that Hillarys has is really nice, I was pleasantly surprised by how unique and modern some of them were!
What do you think of my little crafty endeavour?
