Hello everyone. If you read Monday's blog post you'll know I recently bought a few things from Lush. One of the things that I couldn't resist from popping in my basket was the Rose Jam Bubbleroon. I tried the Yuzu & Cocoa Bubbleroon a few months ago and I absolutely loved it. There's three in the range. I also wanted to try Green Bubbleroon but they looked very washed out and not strong in colour so I'm going to wait until they get a new shipment of them in. Anyway, the Rose Jam Bubbleroon is kind of like a bubble bar that you're supposed to break in half and use over two baths. I split my bubble bars in half anyway to save myself a bit of money so it was really nice to see that Lush are dissecting them for you, breaking them in half sometimes makes such a waste and you lose a lot of crumbs.
As for the smell I don't think it needs much of a description. It smells just like roses. It's a really nice, natural scent. Lush are quite well known for their very sweet and sugary scents whilst this is a lot more subtle. I think scents like this are great because it appeals to an even wider amount of people. I think some people avoid Lush because they don't like the strong scent of the shop but this is perfect. Don't get me wrong, I love myself some strong Lush scents but now and again I want something that's more relaxing than exciting. Now that I think about it, I had similar thoughts about the scent of Yuzu and Cocoa. maybe it's the marketing idea behind the Bubbleroon range. I also love the word bubbleroon and it's spot on because they look like little macaroons. I never used to get the whole macaroon but then I tried one and I totally understand the whole hype, they're delicious.
Like all Lush bubble bars this gave off more than enough bubbles to keep me satisfied. It also turned the water a lovely pink colour, nice but not too strong. Sorry for the awful second photo. The bathroom in my new house doesn't have a window(who designs a bathroom with no window?!) so the lightening isn't great.
Overall I'm really happy with this. It's not something that I'd rush out again to buy because it didn't exaclty wow me, but it was just what I needed after a long day. At £3.50 I think these are reasonably priced based on the amount of uses that you can get out of one. I'd recommend!
