Absolutely ages ago I saw this Book Blogger Tag on What Lauren Did Today and thought to myself 'I should do that'. And now I am, nearly a month later. What can I say? Uni is kicking my ass and I've really not got as much time for blogging as I'd like. Anyway, Water Painted Dreams is mostly a book blog now so I feel like this tag is very well suited. My stats have definitely went down since I changed the course of my blog but I feel like my interaction levels have gone way up so I can't complain!
Which book most recently did you not finish?
The Wasp Factory by Ian Banks. I feel really bad about it because it was the book that I got sent during the summer book swap I helped organise but it was so gory. I got around 30 pages into it and the main character had already put a bomb in a dead rabbit he'd just strangled and blew it up. I can't handle that!
Which book is your guilty pleasure?
I would probably say anything in the Anna and the French Kiss series by Stephanie Perkins because they're all so cheesy but so enjoyable at the same time. Or The Maze Runner by James Dashner because the plot is so weird and unbelievable but I just got sucked right into it. I didn't enjoy the rest of the series as much though.
Which book do you love to hate?
I kind of love that I hate a lot of the really popular classics because it makes an interesting topic of conversation. Some people love classics so much and I really can't get into them at all. Especially Jane Eyre, I've been reading it for like three months and still haven't finished it.
Which book would you throw into the sea?
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I loved the first two books in the series but this book just ended the series on a low for me. I know a lot of other people that really didn't enjoy it either so I think it would be a lot better if I could just through it into the ocean and we could all pretend it never happened.
Which book have you read the most?
Probably the Harry Potter books, I have no idea if I've read any one of them more than the others though! I reread them in the summer this year and I want to reread them again already. So good!
Which book would you hate to receive as a present?
I'm really not a fan of those child abuse books, I just think there's something really weird about them and I don't get why they're so popular. I wouldn't read one if I got given it as a present so I guess that would be sucky present.
Which book could you not live without?
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower! This is my all time favourite book and its taught me so much about life.
Which book made you the angriest?
I really really really hated reading American Psycho. It was so gruesome and horrible and you honestly couldn't pay me to read it again. I have no idea what to do with my copy because I don't want to give it to a charity shop as I wouldn't recommend that anyone else reads it!
Which book made you cry the most?
I've only ever cried at two books: The Fault In Our Stars and The Book Thief.
Which book cover do you hate the most?
There aren't any covers that stand out to me right now but I hate it when you buy the American copy of a book and it's so floppy. I don't know why but American paperbacks are just so much bigger and floppier than the UK ones and it makes them so hard to read!
I don't have anyone in particular that I want to tag but if you would like to do the tag then feel free to do it! Link it in the comments if you do :)
