I've been on a bit of a rereading sprint recently. The Harry Potter books got devoured in about 2 weeks and then I also reread Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Both just get better every time you reread them. Now I really want to reread a load of other books. Rereading is good for me as I get to race through books I love without having to cram new books into my already bulging bookshelf!
Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding - I really want to reread this because it's just such a fun book. I'm sure you've all heard of the Bridget Jones books by now(or at least seen the movies) so I don't want to go too much into the plot. But if you haven't it's about a 30 something woman trying(and failing) to achieve her perfect life. These books are just so funny and easy to read. Perfect for the summer.
Paper Towns by John Green - This is actually my favourite John Green novel, move over The Fault In Our Stars! I haven't reread this book since I got it signed by John Green so that's one reason I want to read it again. The other reason I want to reread it is just because it's been a while. It's about a boy whose childhood crush disappears and he has to follow the clues to find her.
Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler - Did you know that Daniel Handler is actually Lemony Snicket? Or rather than Lemony Snicket is Daniel Handler? Well I didn't know that when I read this book so I want to reread it and see how that changes my opinion of it. This is a book about a girl called Min who broke up with her boyfriend. She returns everything that reminds her of him in a box along with an accompanying letter for each item, detailing why they broke up. It also contains beautiful illustrations of all the items by Maira Kalman. This book is so beautifully written!
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell - I loved this book so much! I recently reread Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell so I really want to reread this book and hopefully fall in love with it even more than I did the first time. This is a book set in the eighties where two misfit teenagers meet and begin to fall for each other. It's super cute but also super sad!
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher - In this book a boy called Clay is delivered a package of 13 tapes. When he starts listening to the tapes he realises that they were recorded by a girl who went to his school, telling them the 13 reasons why she killed herself. And he's one of them. It's been years since I've read this but at the time I found it to be really beautiful and chilling. I want to reread it to see if it's as good as I remember it being!
What books have you reread?
