Hello everyone. Today I'm going to be reviewing the Melado Organic Hair Growth Treatment from Old Wives Tail*. This is a 100% organic product which you apply to damp hair for about an hour before rinsing out and washing as usual. What really drew me to this treatment was that it's organic and natural. Since going cruelty free I've been following a lot more cruelty free beauty blogs which are also normally organic. So I've been interested in trying more organic products. All of Old Wives Tail's products are cruelty free and a percentage of their profit goes to charities that help save animals that are going to be tested on.
The first thing that really hit me about this treatment was the smell. Before I even opened the parcel I could smell it! It is GORGEOUS. If you love lavender scents then you'd love this. It smells so natural and relaxing. I was a little unsure of how much to put in my hair so I built it up in small amounts. I only really had to dip my hands in a few times to completely cover my hair in the oil as it's very thin and a little goes a long way. At first I thought this was pretty expensive at £13.99 but I've now realised I'll be able to use this for months. The only bad thing is that this will stain clothing(I learnt that the hard way) so I'd recommend wearing old pjs or applying it over the shower/sink.
After putting this in my hair I tied it up with a bobble and then just sat and read for about an hour. Then I got in the shower and began to rinse it off. I rinsed off a bit and then shampood twice to get the rest of the treatment out. Then I added a little bit of my regular conditioner to my roots.
My hair felt really soft and smooth after using this treatment and best of all? It smelt amazing. I'm really impressed with this product and will definitely be going and trying more organic hair products. I can't reallly comment on whether this treatment really helps your hair grow as I don't think I've been using it long enough but it does really improve the condition of your hair. And that can only help hair growth right?
