Hello everyone. Everyone's least favourite blogger came to visit my house on Wednesday(muhahaha) and I decided to do a little baking for her. I'd seen this recipe from BBC Good Food which I fancied trying but it sounded a bit boring so I added some California raisins. I wanted to add cherries as well but it turns out that we never had any. I also had to alter the method a bit as well. The original recipe says to mix everything in a food processor. I don't have one so I melted the butter and then stirred in all the other ingredients. Which to me actually sounds like less fuss. They were pretty tasty and if I were to make them again I would add some cherries and maybe some nuts.
8 oz porridge oats
4 oz brown sugar
3 tablespoons of golden syrup
A hanful of raisins or any other things you'd like to add.
1. Melt your butter.
2. Stir in all other ingredients.
3. Pour into a greased making tray and cook at gas mark 4/180 degrees Celcius for 15 minutes.
