OOTD: Prom Dress

Dress - Etsy // Shoes - Sam Edmonton // Earrings - Primark // Corsage - Made by my granny

Hello everyone. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to share my prom dress with you all. I felt like I was constantly getting asked about it whenever I mentioned prom but didn't want to show photos in case someone from school saw! I got my dress online from Etsy. I was a little bit worried about ordering online from China but I decided to go for it anyway as I'd just fallen in love with the dress. I've thought long and hard about it and to be honest I wouldn't recommend the Etsy seller. The dress took a lot longer to come than was stated and they didn't seem bothered about it when I messaged them. It was also slightly different to the pictures. The bit where the blue mesh meets the gold band at the top was very thin. My gran un picked this and spread it out a bit so it looked a bit better. And despite it being custom made to my size it was still too big and I had to take it in. AND I still had to pay quite a large customs fee even after paying a lot for delivery that I wasn't warned about. They have a lot of 5 star reviews and I honestly think these are made by spam accounts! Anyway, rant over. After all the little edits here and there, I did really love my dress in the end.

My gran made my corsage and it was absolutely beautiful. It matched my dress perfectly. As it's made with fake flowers I can keep it forever so it will be the perfect little keepsake!
